FOREST OF SMILES
From Bocchetto Sessera go left up the wide dirt track and immediately take the fork to the right for Bosco del Sorriso, stopping off at the various info panels. Shortly after the church at Alpe Montuccia, take the left fork up to the huts (1,421 m). Back to Bocchetto Sessera on a dirt track.
BLACKBERRY PATH
From the hairpin bend at Bellavista (1,009 m) on the Panoramica Zegna road, follow the dirt track rising gently through beech, pine and chestnut woods on the south flank of Monte Rubello. Vast panoramas across the plains. On reaching Cascina Oro (1,181 m), it’s possible to return by the same route or carry on as far as Bocchetto Luvera (20 min) or Bocchetta Margosio (20 min).
SAINT BERNARD TRAIL
From the fork after Chiesetta Alpina on the Panoramica road (1,275m), take the dirt track to the saddle, then go right (passing a small barrier) on a wide path that zigzags up to Santuario di San Bernardo (1,408m). Splendid 360° panorama.
