Promoting respect for and knowledge of Italian landscape, art, history and traditions means safeguarding a heritage that’s a fundamental part of our roots and identity.
For over ten years Fondazione Zegna and FAI Fondo Ambiente Italiano have been working side by side on numerous environmental projects throughout the country: from Villa Della Porta Bozzolo in Casalzuigno (Varese) to Castello Massino and its Park Caravino (Turin) and Bosco di San Francesco in Assisi. Since 2013 it has been supporting a major 3-year pilot project to recover and upgrade Case Lovara at Punta Mesco (Cinque Terre), a promontory of over 44 hectares in a state of serious degradation and abandon donated to FAI.
Collaboration and sharing of objectives have enabled Oasi Zegna to obtain FAI’s official patronage, the only such case in Italy. This will lead on one hand to the definition of common standards for environmental protection and upgrading and on the other enable Oasi Zegna to join the promotion and awareness raising network FAI uses for its own properties.
