On 7 December, the ski lifts are opening in Bielmonte (1,482
m), the heart of Oasi Zegna, to mark the start of a new skiing season. Winter
is approaching and so are numerous activities for a highly diverse public: from
initiatives for small children to those meeting skiers’ needs, from local
food&wine opportunities to nighttime outings, mountain watching, snowshoe
hiking and cross-country skiing.
With slopes kissed by the sun all day and
unforgettable views across the Po Valley plains, Val Sessera and Monte Rosa,
Bielmonte is also a baby-friendly resort. Little skiers have over 50
instructors from two ski schools at their service, as well as this offer by the
Consorzio Turistico Alpi Biellesi: on

1-hour ski lessons for the price of 1. Also for kids, there will be special daily rate (5 euros) for the
whole of the season, provided they’re accompanied on the slopes by a parent
with a daily ski pass.
Oasi Zegna can
count on the offerings of two different ski schools. The Scuola Sci Bielmonte
Oasi Zegna has been working since 1956 and has 40 or so instructors for people
wishing to perfect their style or learn this winter sport par excellence from scratch. All the ski techniques - snowboarding,
Telemark, cross-country, fun carving, racing – are practiced here. The School
is a promoter of the Progetto Educativo Sci (P.E.S.), addressing schools and
funded by Regione Piemonte to include winter sports in young people’s

The Scuola Sci
Monte Marca Bielmonte provides courses and lessons for beginners, intermediate
and “racing” (introduction to competitive skiing). But there are also
“multi-sport weeks”, featuring, in addition to downhill skiing, snowboarding,
cross-country, snowshoe hiking, ice skating and much else besides. Specializing
in teaching the disabled, this School organizes a course, SciaLIS, also for the
deaf, to develop 360° communication, and the non-competitive slalom of the same
name.

to see live webcam images of the situation on the ground. The services offered by Oasi Zegna include the hiring of its ski facilities
for celebrating special occasions. At the end of the day in fact, lighting and
ski-lifts can be provided, on request, for corporate competitions,
birthdays, racing with friends and ski club training sessions. Special
